Cluster Dextrin
Cluster Dextrin is a Highly Branched Cyclic Dextrin (HBCD). Due to its high solubility and low osmolarity, it allows for much faster absorption, improving the efficiency of electrolytes in relation to gastrointestinal transit. 6 grams for an isotonic
solution for every 8 oz of water is sufficient to improve electrolyte absorption. This would bring the cells perfect functioning in relation to the electrolytes in the metabolism and better bioavailability of the ingredients.
Why is cluster dextrin better
than glucose?
When using an electrolyte, glucose is very important in the absorption of minerals. However, glucose is not the best way to quickly move electrolytes to the intestine. On the other hand, the use of Cluster Dextrin, the highly branched cyclic dextrin (HBCD), does not occur. Due to its high solubility and low osmolarity, it allows for much faster absorption, improving the efficiency of electrolytes in relation to gastrointestinal transit. This would bring the cells perfect functioning in relation to the electrolytes in the metabolism and also a better bioavailability of the ingredients.
